Boosting Your MBA Scope with the CAT Exam

The CAT is an entrance test that has to be cleared if you want to apply for an MBA. These scores are used to assess your intellectual worth for MBA admission.

The CAT exam is the first step that one has to take before they can apply for their MBA study program in any management college. The CAT Exam tests your knowledge, your presence of mind and abilities to perform exceptionally well under the toughest of situations. The CAT exam is conducted on an annual basis across the entire country between November and December, and students possessing an aggregate of 50% marks in their academic field can appear for the CAT.

The CAT is sought after all aspiring management students, but their success will depend to a large extent on tow key factors. The first factor is to reduce their total number of negative markings with a full strike rate of at least 85% and the second factor is to possess intelligent and exceptional skills in answering the questions papers.

The full time allotted to CAT aspirants for answering their question paper is 120 minutes and the students is expected to complete a certain number of questions that vary anywhere between seventy five to one hundred and fifty- this number will vary with each year. This is another reason why you have to answer as many number of mock question papers as possible, as you never know the total number of questions that will appear. All answers are given in an objective format on an OMR sheet and the student has to simply select the right answer. Each question is based on a system of differential marking and the questions that do appear possess a mark of 0.5, 1 or 2 marks.

All correct answers are awarded a single mark each and incorrect answers are given a ¼ deduction of the total marks scored so far.
